New Blog Design

I can always revert to the old design. Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

Greetings upon the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. The new design is attractive and crisp, and I am sure we will all get used to it. What made you decide to redecorate?

By the way has anyone ever visited my blog? It isn't much, but you're all welcome to stop by.

I read it on Google Reader so don't see any of the graphics of yours or any other blog.

I need to see your blog!!

And I just felt it was time to change what had been a pretty consistent look for 5 years to something a bit more visually attractive (though I still have tweaking to do). In the past, if I didn't post a photo beside every third or fourth post, the blog came to look quite dull and, well, ugly. I am also glad Blogger's capabilities have improved quite a bit in half a decade. It was time to take advantage of that, since most of the blogs I read look far better than this one.

Of course, the most important thing that will make a blog relevant is regular posting. I have more work to do there... the greatest thing holding me back is simply that my need to explain my faith vis-a-vis Adventism is almost gone. I haven't stepped foot in an Adventist church more than a handful of times in the past couple years. It isn't part of my world anymore, though I still read up on it online or in journals published by the ATS, etc. The people I interact with now are almost all Catholic, evangelical, mainline Protestant, and Orthodox (in about that order).

I've thought about simply launching a personal blog, but social networking sites are self-expressive enough. I like theme based blogs, and the basic theme of this blog--Adventism and Catholicism--is a fun topic to explore. Somewhere out there, a blog should be dedicated to that theme. Might as well keep it running and make it look a bit more polished.

The new layout runs quite a bit slower on mobile than the old one did, if you care to know. I'm on an HTC Evo using Opera, if that helps.
